Biography

Howard Area Community Center provides an all-encompassing domestic violence program for adults and their children who are experiencing or have experienced the trauma of domestic violence. Our services include legal advocacy both in domestic violence court and family relations court, case management, individual counseling, group counseling, and domestic violence education for clients involved in the child welfare system. Additionally, HACC offers domestic violence crisis services as well, including a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, food pantry, and assistance for clients needing safety at a domestic violence shelter. We also offer community education around domestic violence and its effects, as well as outreach services. Our services are bilingual, both in English and Spanish.
