Utilizing Vision Boards and Painting in the Healing Process

March 19, 2025 @ 2:55 pm - 3:55 pm

Utilizing vision boards and painting as part of the healing process offers a creative and empowering approach to recovery.

The objective is to help survivors visualize a positive future, process their emotions, and rebuild self-esteem. This method combines the therapeutic benefits of art with goal-setting techniques to foster hope and resilience. These activities encourage self-reflection, provide a safe space for emotional release, and promote clarity about personal goals and dreams.

The methodology involves guided workshops where participants create vision boards collages of inspiring images and words representing their aspirations or engage in guided and expressive painting to channel emotions. Facilitators support participants in navigating their trauma while exploring their creativity and envisioning a brighter future.

Outcomes include improved emotional well-being, a stronger sense of self-worth, and a renewed focus on personal growth. Many participants report feeling more empowered and motivated to take concrete steps toward rebuilding their lives after trauma.
