SHN’s Annual Supply Drive for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October 1, 2019 - October 31, 2019
SHN’s Annual Supply Drive
for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October 1 through October 31

Up to 89% of domestic violence survivors have reported that their pets were harmed or killed by their abusers. Up to 65% delay leaving their abusers if they would have to leave their pets behind. There are no pet-friendly domestic violence shelters in or near Chicago.
Throughout the month of October, The Safe Haven Network collects supplies needed most by the domestic violence shelters and animal shelters that serve our community.
The Safe Haven Network helps survivors of domestic violence find temporary boarding for their pets so they can escape their abusers and start a new life in peace and safety with their pets.
