Join us for a documentary “My Name Is Kim Bok-Dong” on 5 PM Thursday, September 19 at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s James Stukel Towers Theater.
This documentary follows the life of Kim Bok-Dong, one of thousands of Korean women who were victims of sexual slavery during World War II and known as “Comfort Women.” The film follows her 27-year fight to get recognition and an apology from Japan.
After a short introduction at 5 PM, the film will start promptly at 5:15 PM. A short educational session will follow the screening at 7 PM.
