Senior Housing Resource Specialist


Victoria Vences serves as the Senior Housing Resource Specialist at The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence. She is a part of the housing team in helping gender-based survivors who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless obtain housing. Prior to this position, she served as a Support Services for Veteran Homeless Families Case Manager Supervisor (SSVF) at the Partners In Community Building. She has worked with survivors of gender-based violence since 2006 with many service providing agencies including the CAPS program with the city of Chicago. She attended Brown College in Mendota Heights Minnesota in the Criminal Justice Program. She is Bilingual Fluent in Spanish and English oral and written, 60-hour trained in Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention, 40-hour trained in Domestic Violence, a Court Advocate, has had Economic Advocacy Training, Child trauma trained, and has experience in crisis intervention. She provides advocacy and resources to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking victims. She also has experience in collaborating with the Chicago Police Department Crime Prevention and Information Center (CPIC), the Community Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) and the Chicago Survivors Agency. She is very passionate about helping and serving her community.
