Housing Resource Specialist
Shellee Roberson serves at the Housing Resource Specialist at The Network: Advocating Against Domestic Violence. She is a part of the housing team in helping gender-based survivors obtain housing who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Prior to this position, she served as a Victim’s Information Resource Advocate (VIRA) at the Illinois Domestic Violence Statewide Hotline. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Governors State University, an associate degree from South Suburban College and General Education Development at Olive-Harvey College. She has six years of experience in crisis intervention, advocacy and providing resources to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking victims. She also has experience in collaborating with the Chicago Police Department Crime Prevention and Information Center (CPIC), the Community Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) and the Chicago Survivors Agency. She is very compassionate about helping and serving her community.
