Data and Research Associate
Shelby Hoffman joined The Network in 2022 and serves as Data & Research Associate on our Policy, Advocacy, and Research team. She leads research for our annual data report, Measuring Safety, which compiles statistics and survivor stories to support The Network’s policy platform. Her work also includes managing data for the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline, along with providing analytic support on collaborative projects with city, regional, and statewide agencies, in addition to member organizations.
Prior to joining The Network, Shelby worked with survivors of domestic violence at the Cook County Domestic Violence Courthouse as a legal advocacy supervisor and survivors of sexual violence in Chicago emergency rooms as a volunteer medical advocate. She is an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP), holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Ohio State University, and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Women’s and Gender Studies at DePaul University.
