The Network envisions an end to our society’s tolerance of domestic violence.
The Network is a collaborative membership organization dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted by domestic violence through education, public policy and advocacy, and the connection of community members to direct service providers.
At The Network, we strengthen the community’s response to domestic violence by providing state-of-the-art training to community members, domestic violence advocates, and social service providers. Expert trainers work toward increasing the knowledge and skills of participants to enable them to better serve families experiencing domestic violence, advocate on behalf of those impacted by domestic violence, and prevent violence in the future. For over 20 years, The Network has educated nearly 25,000 domestic violence advocates and social service providers who have gone on to provide service to even more victims and survivors, their families, and those who have abused.
The Network is the leading systemic advocacy voice on behalf of victims, survivors, and service providers within the metropolitan area. The Network is committed to leading the development of evidence-based services and advocating for policies that are informed by the unique social and cultural dynamics that all victims and survivors face.
Through the strength, knowledge, and first-hand experiences of the membership, The Network is able to amplify voices and build an advocacy agenda that best meets the needs of victims and survivors in the Chicago area.
The Illinois Statewide Domestic Violence Hotline provides immediate connection to direct service providers with availability to support victims and survivors in need, as well as their family members and those who have abused. Services are available any time in over 170 languages, and via text message.
